Review and refine

Preview, inspector edits, comments, and keyboard shortcuts.

Your assistant proposes; you approve in Casper before export.

Preview

Open a deck from Slides and step through each page in 4:5. This is the same view you export.

Use arrow keys, Space, or Page Up/Down to move between screens.

Inspector

Press i or use the toolbar to open the inspector. Click any element:

  • Edit text, typography, or colour directly β€” save when done.
  • Leave a comment for larger changes (saved into the source for your assistant).
  • Alt+click an image to select layers stacked on top of each other.

Comment shortcuts (when the comment field is focused):

  • ⌘/ or Ctrl+/ β€” focus the comment input.
  • βŒ˜β†΅ or Ctrl+Enter β€” add the comment.

Small copy fixes often stay in the inspector; structural changes go back to chat with /edit-slide (or /apply-comments when you left comment markers).

Design panel

Press d to toggle the design panel β€” shuffle colours and typography tokens for quick visual exploration (authoring workspace). Example decks are read-only.

Speaker notes

Open the notes drawer to write a script per screen β€” useful for recording or stakeholder review. Notes are saved with the deck; they are not exported to PNG/PDF.

Present mode (optional)

For fullscreen review:

  • Enter β€” present in a window.
  • F β€” fullscreen.
  • P β€” presenter view (preview + notes in a second window).
  • O β€” slide overview grid.
  • Esc β€” exit overlays.

Handy for walking a carousel on a large screen before export; not required for social posting.

Comments β†’ /apply-comments

After commenting on screen elements:

  1. Save comments in Casper.
  2. In your assistant chat, run /apply-comments.
  3. Check the updated preview in Casper.

See Commands. For edits that are not tied to comment markers, use /edit-slide on the existing deck folder.

Production stages

While iterating, move the deck on Production so you know what is still draft versus ready to export.
