Themes and layouts
Themes, composition, infographics, and example carousels in Casper.
Your assistant picks from catalogs inside Casper so decks stay on-brand.
Browse these areas before you brief β then reference them in chat or let
/create-slide choose.
Themes
Open Themes in the sidebar. Each entry is a visual system β typography, colour, texture β with a live 4:5 preview.
Ask your assistant to use a theme by name:
/create-slide for "Weekly tips series β use the minimal lavender theme, 6 screens"Your own themes (themes/custom/)
Themes you create with /create-theme live under themes/custom/ β
not mixed with shipped themes at the root of themes/. Casper lists them in
the Themes gallery (catalog id custom/your-theme-name) and never
deletes them when the slide kit syncs.
Typical layout:
themes/custom/my-brand.md β theme spec (palette, typography, rules)
themes/custom/my-brand.demo.tsx β optional live preview in the appWhen briefing a deck, reference the theme by name or id:
/create-slide β 5 screens, use custom/my-brand themeSee Your folder for what kit sync updates vs what stays yours.
Composition
Open Composition for page layout patterns: covers, section breaks, proof
blocks, closings with CTA, and more. These are what /create-slide maps to
each screen.
Run /list-compositions in chat if you want ids printed for a specific format
(e.g. 4x5), or /explore-composition to compare layouts per screen with rationale.
Infographics
AI-generated images for individual screens β not composition TSX layouts.
See Infographics for the full workflow (browse galleries β
copy ids β /generate-infographic).
Open Infographic layouts and Infographic styles in the sidebar, or run
/list-infographic-layouts / /list-infographic-styles in chat.
Examples
Examples in the sidebar are read-only reference carousels. Study structure and tone, then tell your assistant what you want to echo:
/create-slide similar in pacing to the product launch example β new topic: onboardingScale (reference)
Casper ships dozens of patterns and themes β your catalogs grow with the app version. When in doubt, browse in the app rather than memorising ids.
